With your consent, Wobbledink G-Docs accesses the Google Sheets glossary at the link you provide. It reads the first two sheets, including keys, definitions, values, evaluated formulas and sheet metadata. The spreadsheets permission technically allows the app to see and edit all spreadsheets available to your Google account; the extension uses it for the linked glossary and does not list your Drive files.
The extension processes text and rendering information from open Google Docs and Sheets locally to display glossary markers, labels, highlights and hover cards. It does not write substituted labels into the stored Google Doc or other spreadsheets. Adding or removing glossary entries and repairing or maintaining the selected source spreadsheet do modify that spreadsheet. Repair includes formatting the first two sheets and removing columns outside A:B.
The selected spreadsheet link, glossary cache, settings and connection status are stored in the browser extension's local storage. OAuth access tokens are kept in trusted extension session storage, are unavailable to document content scripts, and are cleared when the browser session ends or you disconnect. Authorization and API requests go directly to Google over HTTPS. No client secret is embedded in the extension.
OAuth and Sheets API requests use HTTPS. The extension limits OAuth access tokens to trusted extension storage and sends them only to Google authorization and Sheets services. Content scripts that inspect open Docs and Sheets pages receive glossary display data but not OAuth tokens. Diagnostic logs exclude OAuth tokens, document text, glossary keys and values. The extension does not upload the glossary or diagnostic logs to a developer server.
Local glossary caches and settings are protected by the browser's extension storage isolation; anyone with access to your browser profile or a diagnostic report you choose to share may be able to see information in them. We do not claim separate encryption of this local cache. Disconnect clears the cached glossary and session token and attempts to revoke Google's grant. You can also revoke access in your Google Account.
The extension keeps bounded diagnostic logs locally to investigate errors and performance. These include operation types, timings, counts, rendering geometry, version and error categories. Background diagnostic history can persist in extension local storage; page diagnostics are held in memory. Logs are designed to exclude document text, glossary keys and values, and OAuth tokens. A diagnostic report may also include sheet identifiers and table ranges. Reports are copied to your clipboard only when you request them. They are not automatically uploaded to the developer; you decide whether to share them.
We do not share or transfer spreadsheet contents, document text, OAuth tokens or diagnostic reports to the developer, advertisers, analytics providers or data brokers. We do not sell Google user data. The extension sends the linked spreadsheet ID and authorized read or write requests directly to Google Sheets. Google processes those requests to provide authorization and spreadsheet operations.
Cloudflare hosts this public website and may process ordinary website request information, such as IP address and browser metadata, to deliver it over HTTPS. The extension does not send spreadsheet contents or OAuth tokens to Cloudflare. Diagnostic reports are copied to your clipboard only at your request. If you choose to send a report or spreadsheet to another person or service, that recipient receives what you share.
Disconnect clears the extension's glossary cache and OAuth token and attempts to revoke the Google grant. Source files remain in Google Drive. Settings and diagnostic history may remain locally. If revocation fails, remove the app's access in your Google Account permissions. Removing the extension clears its extension storage; copies of reports you saved or shared are outside that storage.
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements, and the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
